Harold the Hero was a very early game in the Mario series, coming out almost right after Donkey Kong Jr. It is one of the few games where Mario is the antagonist. This game shows a darker side to Mario, considering he blows up Harold's house and kidnaps his dog. It's an arcade game.

Harold is in his house when Mario kidnaps his dog and blows up his house. Harold goes on a quest to save his dog. Once he defeats Mario, Mario escapes.
