Indiana Joe made his very 1st appearance in The Super Mario Bros. cartoon episode: Raiders of the Lost Mushroom, in which he had no face drawn and animated on him. This time, in Raiders of the Lost Yoshi Egg, he's got a face drawn on him, which looks exactly like Toad's face, but with facial hairs drawn on him.
