Mario and the Fly is a 1994 American-Gavinlandic comedy-slapstick buddy short film adapted and directed by Gavin Brown and producd by Phil Roman and Darrell Van Citters. It was released in November 23, 1994, with the theatrical release of "Alphablocks in The Pageletter", and it was produced by Gavin Brown Productions, Walt Disney Feature Animation, Nintendo of America and Film Roman. The music was re-used from the 1984 Weston Woods Studios short film "The Bear and the Fly", written by Ernest Troost, and Gavin gets Kyle Riabko and Stephanie Riabko to arrange the music.

In 1995, the film was released before the film "Alphablocks in The Pageletter", by Family Home Entertainment and Walt Disney Home Video in the USA, Gavin Brown Home Video in Gavinland, and Walt Disney Home Video in the UK and Japan.

In 2005, part of Mario's 80th anniversary, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment released the short film in the "Special Features" icon of the 1998 film: "The Super Mario RPG Movie" and was included in the Mario's Gold and Silver Cartoon Collections.

In 2019, the short was now available to stream on Disney+.
