Cerise's art in her debut appearance
Princess Cerise, also known as The Tulip Keeper, is a character debuting in New Super Mario 3D Land, where she takes the role of the leading damsel-in-distress. She is the princess of Flowery Kingdom, and loves taking care of flowers, especially tulips, which are her favorite. She has a strong relationship with Peach, and they always gossip with each other often. Cerise is easily recognized by her long, caramel ponytail that flows in the wind.

Cerise has pale skin, rose eyes, and caramel hair that she always ties up into a ponytail, in which her left eye is covered by a bang. She wears a pink dress with red tips, waistline, and collar, rosy heart-shaped earrings, white gloves, a golden heart-shaped brooch with a rose heart in the center, and a golden crown with three heart-shaped gems: two of them are rose, and the middle one is fuchsia.
