This story follows Mario having been rejected by Princess Peach and been friend zoned by her decides to finally move on with his life and finally forget about her but Mario and Cappy are relaxing in Mushroom Kingdom when Bowser finally returns having been stranded on Moon Kingdom for quite sometime and also having been rejected by Princess Peach decides to steal all of the worlds Power Moons and drain the Mushroom World of it's entire energy this forces Mario and Cappy on a quest once again to stop Bowser but Luigi also joins them with his companion Hatty. |

Mario and Cappy see Mushroom Kingdom covered in darkness and embark on a new quest to stop Bowser and Broodals and Luigi and his companion Hatty also join Mario and Cappy on there adventure. |
