- The last season to have the Columbia TriStar Domestic Television logo, which appears on episodes from September to October 2002, and makes a surprise appearance on 1 episode of The Mario Show from November 2002, called Snowball Fight in Marioland.

- Some Elmo's World segments appeared on Sesame Street earlier but have not appeared on The Mario Show until this season. These include the Books segment from season 1, the Birds segment from season 3, the Families segment from season 3, the Fish segment from season 4, and the Sky segment from season 4. 1 Elmo's World segment from season 4 was released on VHS and DVD in September 2002, before appearing on The Mario Show in January 2003, and again on Sesame Street, in April of that year, as a result of the episode airing on TV on Sesame Street in April 2003, the segment was pushed back and aired during season 34 of Sesame Street, back when season 5 was the newest season of the Elmo's World segment,. This is the Firefighters segment from season 4. Like other seasons, some episodes repeat Elmo's World segments from the previous seasons. In addition, this season also has a brand new Elmo's World segment about Ears, which aired in this season of The Mario Show in December 2002 before airing again on Sesame Street in April 2003 after 4 months of the segment only airing on The Mario Show. By the time it aired on Sesame Street 4 months after it aired on this season of The Mario Show, the Ears segment became part of the 5th season of Elmo's World, airing on Sesame Street in the 2nd episode of season 34, AKA, episode 4032 of Sesame Street.
